Peg's Pineapple

For my gal pal Peggy's Birthday yesterday I made a Double-Layer Pineapple Upside Down Cake. I should've taken a picture, but you'll just have to believe me when I say........YUM.  Keeping "Pineapple" as the theme, I decided to make a Pineapple Birthday Card to coordinate with her cake.
I made this card using Stampin' Up! supplies, some DCWV paper scraps, my Gypsy, CE2 and the Life Is A Beach Cricut cartridge. The cardstock base is Stampin Up! Daffodil Delight. The Straw is Marina Mist and the umbrella stem Soft Suede. The inside of the orange and the umbrella "hood" are from a piece out of the metallics collection, I believe from DCWV.
The rind of the orange and the stem of the cherry are both cut from Pumpkin Pie CS, while the cherry itself is cut from Real Red. I used Dazzling Details on the orange rind, top of the umbrella and "diamonds" of the pineapple. I used the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details on the cherry. I raised the stemmed cherry off of the card base with a piece of dimensional to give the card some depth.
I chose a height of 5.5" for the pineapple, copied it, flipped it and welded it to the original for the card base. For the accessories, I cut them separately out of different colored CS by using the "Hide/Show" feature in the advanced tab of the Gypsy. I then cut them out one at a time in the colors I wanted to use. Although it is not pictured here, I stamped the Birthday Greeting on the inside of the card with a sentiment from the "Happiest Birthday Wishes" hostess stamp set that is due to retire at the end of May.
Hope you like my card today and "Thank You" for stopping by!

Until next time...............Have fun Creating!
